In March of this year it was said that Dragon Age: Dreadwolf could be completed from start to finish and that all that was left was to test the gameplay mechanics and bring visual fidelity to its visual form. For that very reason, the delay of Dragon Age: Dreadwolf may turn out to be a blessing hidden in an upset.
We have to remember that Cyberpunk 2077 came out in 2020 and Pokémon Scarlet and Purple came out last year, two equally highly anticipated games that, likewise, didn’t deliver anywhere near the experience gamers expected from them. Requiring several more months of baking until they were really finished, these games would have benefited from a delay that would have allowed them to be released in full.Īnyway, this is not something new. Redfall, The Last of Us Part 1 and Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, the latter also from EA, were highly anticipated releases that have been launched with very serious performance and optimization issues that have meant they could not be enjoyed optimally on either PC or consoles at launch.
Although it may sound strange, it may turn out to be good news considering the state in which high-profile video games are coming out in the last few months.
